Yoga TeacherJulia’s introduction into yoga began as an exploration of movement based practices in order to find comfort in her body, reduce stress and manage an autoimmune condition she had been suffering from. After trying many different types of yoga she found huge benefit from practicing gentle styles of yoga with a therapeutic approach. This kind of yoga utilized body awareness, mindfulness, and meditation as tools to regain balance (emotional and physical) and improve overall health. After doing yoga for many years she decided to become a Yoga teacher with the hope of sharing the transformational results that her own yoga practice had provided. Julia is a certified and insured Professional Hatha Yoga Teacher who has graduated as an Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga from the Accredited Yoga Therapy Training Program offered by Ajna Yoga Centre. Her classes are gentle, relaxing and accessible to all people regardless of age and physical ability.
